About Loading Dock Repair Stroudsburg

We are a local dock equipment company serving facilities across Monroe County and nearby. Our customers run warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing plants, grocery stores and retail receiving docks. They need doors that close tight, levelers that sit flush and restraints that hold.

We believe most early equipment failures trace back to small shortcuts at install. A missing shim, an anchor set in weak concrete, a hydraulic hose routed where it rubs. We would rather spend the extra hour on those things than come back in a year to fix them.

Dock Equipment We Work On

Most dock trouble starts small. A leveler lip that drags, a door that drifts out of its track, a restraint hook that no longer catches the bar. We handle loading dock preventative maintenance, repair and new equipment installation, and we can help you pick the right unit through our loading dock equipment sales. New equipment we supply comes with a 10-year manufacturer warranty, and we install it so that warranty has a fair chance of never being needed.

What Moves the Price of Dock Work

We do not quote dock work off a guess. The price depends on what is actually at your door, so we look first and then write it up item by item.

After we look at your equipment, you get a written estimate with each part and labor item listed. If we find something new once work starts, we stop and talk with you before going further.

Type of equipment
A hydraulic dock leveler, a mechanical leveler, a high speed door and a vehicle restraint are very different jobs. Parts, labor and the time a bay is out of service all change with the unit.
Condition of the pit and concrete
Crumbling pit curbs or broken concrete around anchors have to be dealt with before new equipment goes in. Road salt and freeze-thaw cycles through a Pocono winter speed that damage, so we check it every time.
Repair or replace
Sometimes a new lip hinge or a hose fixes the problem. Sometimes the frame is fatigued and patching it would waste your money. We tell you which it is and why.
Door size and usage
Larger openings need heavier springs, tracks and hardware. A door that cycles hundreds of times a shift needs higher-cycle parts than one that opens twice a day.
Scheduling and access
Work on nights or weekends to protect your receiving schedule can change the cost. So can tight access, trailers that have to be moved, or a bay that cannot be fully shut down.

How a Dock Job Runs

Every job follows the same order, from the first call to the last test cycle.

  1. 1

You call and tell us what is wrong

Describe what the equipment is doing, how many doors are involved and when your dock is busiest. We set a time to come look.

  2. 2

    We inspect and photograph

We check the equipment, the anchors, the pit and the controls. You get photos and a plain explanation of what we found.

  3. 3

    You get a line-item estimate

Each part and labor item is written out. We note what needs attention now and what can be planned for later.

  4. 4

We do the work by bay

We lock out the equipment, block off the bay and work one door at a time when we can. Your other doors stay open.

  5. 5

We test, clean up and walk you through it

Every unit runs through full cycles under our eye. We show your team anything they should watch for and leave the bay clean.

How We Work at Your Dock

Equipment lasts as long as the install allows. We spend our time on the parts most crews rush past.

We anchor it like it matters

A dock leveler or restraint is only as solid as what holds it down. We check the pit curb angle and the concrete before we drill, and we use the right anchors for the load. Loose anchors are behind a lot of the cracked welds we get called to fix.

Alignment before speed

An overhead door that is a quarter inch out of plumb will chew rollers and wear cables early. We square tracks, set spring tension by the door's weight and run the door through full cycles before we call it done.

You see what we see

We take photos of worn hinge pins, leaking hydraulic fittings, frayed cables and anything else we find. You get a written estimate with each item listed, so you can decide what to fix now and what can wait.

Work planned around your receiving

Downtime at a dock costs you trucks and labor. We plan the work by door so the rest of your dock keeps moving, and we tell you ahead of time which bays will be out and for how long.

A clean bay when we leave

We pick up cut ends, old hardware, metal shavings and packaging. Your crew should be able to back in the next trailer without sweeping first.

Questions We Hear Often

How often should our dock equipment get preventative maintenance?
It depends on how hard the dock works. A busy distribution center bay may need service a few times a year, while a store that takes a few trucks a week may need less. We look at your traffic and equipment and suggest a schedule that fits. Regular service catches worn parts before they turn into downtime.
Should we repair our dock leveler or replace it?
We give you an honest answer after we look. If the frame and deck are sound, a new lip hinge, hose or spring often gets it working well again. If the structure is cracked or fatigued, repairs just buy time, and we will tell you that plainly.
Can you work without shutting down our whole dock?
Usually, yes. We work one bay at a time when we can and plan around your receiving hours. We tell you ahead of time which doors will be out and roughly how long.
What warranty comes with your work?
Our labor carries a 1-year labor warranty. Equipment warranties come from the manufacturer, and we explain the coverage for any unit we supply before you buy it.
Do you install new equipment or only repair?
Both. We handle loading dock equipment installation, and through our equipment sales we can help you choose dock levelers, overhead doors, high speed doors, rolling grilles and vehicle restraints that fit your building and traffic.
Why do vehicle restraints matter if we already use wheel chocks?
Chocks get skipped, misplaced or knocked loose. A vehicle restraint hooks the trailer's rear guard and gives your forklift drivers a clear signal light. It is one of the more direct steps toward dock safety and compliance.
How do we get a price for our job?
Call us and describe the problem. We come look at the equipment, take photos and write up an estimate with each item listed. You get your quote by phone or in writing after the visit.
